RAM Structural System Version 11.2 new features and enhancements include:
Code additions
IBC 2006 and ASCE 7-05: The requirements for wind loads, seismic loads, response spectrum and steel and foundation soil load combinations per ASCE 7-05, as referenced in IBC 2006, have been implemented. The new redundancy factor requirements are accommodated. For wind story forces, Method 2 – Analytical Procedure in ASCE 7-05 has been implemented. For seismic story forces, the Equivalent Lateral Force Procedure in ASCE 7-05 has been implemented. The requirements for live load reduction have not been changed.
BS 8110 Concrete Design Requirements: British Standard Code 8110 incorporates the British concrete beam and column design requirements to the RAM Structural System’s RAM Concrete, which adds to RAM’s already comprehensive integrated concrete design capabilities. Engineers can model, analyze, and design multistory concrete structures, and then generate drawings, including beam and column schedules, directly from the program.

Modeler enhancements
Move Beam: The Move Beam command lets users move a beam that has already been modeled, with options to either move the beam some specified offset distance (maintaining the orientation) or to move one end of the beam to a new location. Beams framing into moved beams will automatically adjust to the new support locations, with options to maintain the orientation or the relative spacing of those secondary beams.
Construction grids: The ability to create construction grids (temporary modeling grids) has been enhanced to include an option to create new grids parallel to existing grids, as well as an option to create grids at an angle at an offset from a specified point. The ability to quickly create temporary grids is a great aid in modeling complex structures.
Cursor Snap-To: Users have greater control in enabling or disabling the points to which the cursor snaps during the creation of a model. These snap points are created automatically at the intersections and locations of grids, members, loads, and so on, but the new feature can be used to suppress the creation of some of these snap points. This feature is especially useful for very large and complex models and aids in the more rapidly and precisely entering of new members and loads in the model.
Measure Command: A new Measure Distance command can be used to display the distance and angle (with respect to the global X-axis) between any two points. Click on any two points and the coordinates, the distance, and the angle will be displayed.
Show Member Lengths: The ability to display member lengths on plan and elevation views has been added. For sloping framing, such as at roofs, the length can be given as either the actual member length or the horizontal projected length.

RAM Steel enhancements
FibreFlor and Corus ComFlor decks (U.K.): When Corus profiled decks are selected, an option to use FibreFlor as a replacement for conventional transverse reinforcement is available. The reports have been enhanced to show the contribution of FibreFlor in lieu of conventional transverse reinforcement.
Fibres and Transverse Reinforcement Check (U.K.): The Transverse Reinforcement Check report has been enhanced to ignore the contribution of fibres (Dramix or FibreFlor) for edge beams, and to indicate edge beams that require conventional reinforcement when fibres have been specified, since BS 5950 requires U-bars of conventional reinforcement when the edge distance is less than 300 mm.
U.K. deck table: In the U.K. profile deck table, the name of the ComFlor decks has been updated from PMF ComFlor to Corus ComFlor, and the Corus ComFlor 80 deck has been added.

RAM Frame enhancements
Increased efficiently in optimization: For very large models, there may be insufficient physical memory (RAM) to solve all of the equations in memory. An out-of-core solver and efficient optimization routines have been implemented to save memory during execution of the program, allowing very large models to be analyzed regardless of memory limitations.
Mode shapes: The mode shapes displayed on-screen and listed in the reports are now normalized with respect to the building mass matrix using the current model units, U.S. Customary or SI.

一个国外结分析軟件 . 后來被Bentley 收购 . 之后出了11.2 版 . 但至今就不知有沒有新版 .
而Bentley 后來也收购了比較多人認识的staad (rei 自己加上ssdd --成為可以驗算中国钢结构的內力分析軟件)
並出了staad pro 2007 及最近出的 staad x 8i 版 . 有人说会在09年6月出中文新版 .
所以感覚上 , RAM Structural 是会成為中国的tbsa .
不知大家怎样看 .
