你说的是滤池吧?/
31平方米不算大,但还要看是哪种类型的滤池。国内最大的滤池做到了180平方米,净过滤面积近160平方米。

I assumed that you use gravity filter with water/air backwash:
1. There is a cost balance on size of filter and number of filters. The max. filtration rate shall be the rate when 1 filer is out of service. The bigger the filter size, the more demands on backwash equipment cost and water need. Normally, I use 30-50 for the design.
2. If you use water backwash with surface wash, the geometric of the filter shall be 1:1 or 1:2. This is based on the best surface wash consideration. If you use water with air scour backwash, the geometric of the filter shall be 1.5:1. This is based on the consideration of cost saving on undergdrain system (piping layout). My filter modeling result indicates that there is no big difference on geometric.
3. Which school are you in? I remember I did not have course design for the filter when I was in Tong Ji then. The education is much better improved now. Hopefully you love water treatment.

Regarding for the width, I think you should consider the location for the flume (filter influent and filter effluent collection box) and the backwash trough layout. The max. distance between each trough shall be less than 2 meter (or 6 ft in the U.S.). Your 3.9 meter is perfect for 2 trough layout if you put your flume at the end of the long sidewall.

单格面积不小,有些滤池的面积限制不得大于25平米,如楼上所言,是为了反冲洗均匀。
我设计的滤池有的面积只有几平米。
