Position: Sales Manager

Location: Shanghai

Purpose of the Role:
To lead the sales and marketing activities of global industrial high performance process applications in China; driving the business forward to achieve a sales target



The Required Profile:

• A suitable academic engineering/commercial degree.
• 4-6 years industrial experience either from the sales or project execution/management with sales and margin responsibility.
• History of demonstrable achievement of sales targets, innovative business development, growth or successful project execution within respective market segments.
• Strong team player, capable of building strong working relationships to achieve business goals.
• Good marketing and business development awareness, demonstrating experience in both strategic and tactical industrial product marketing and communications.
• Ability and experience to work in an international company, driven by a desire to succeed and to achieve rapid and profitable growth.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A self starter who is able to perform independent work including equipment selection, pricing and customer proposals.
• Ability to achieve results through others.
• An implementer as well as a strategist.
• Ability to structured reporting of the business situation and future development plans.
• Candidate must have fluent written & spoken English and Chinese language skills.



The Role

• Responsible for optimising and developing existing customer relationships whilst also being the driving force behind engaging new customers and seeking out market opportunities.
• Conceptualise and implement commercial strategies to establish Flakt Wood’s market presence and market share to ensure industry-leading performance. Tailor strategic development according to segment and products, taking into consideration local and national market requirements inline with Company objectives and strategy.
• Review and, as appropriate, introduce changes to build the sales and marketing organisation to support future sales growth and at the same time ensure the most effective utilisation of current and future resources.
• Analyse and report on market intelligence to understand and verify present and future market needs, trends and buying criteria, local trends including changes to future legislation.
• Deliver budgeted orders, margins, selling & administration costs etc; review terms & conditions to optimise returns with minimised risk; provide periodic forecasts for monthly, quarterly, half & full-year reviews.
• Work closely with operational activities locally to ensure quality standards are upheld and customer requirements are met. Also required to work with the operational teams in China and the respective Center of Excellence within the Group to overcome customer issues and acting as the point of escalation for local customer concerns or issues.
