小镇为电子图书馆选择了一个战略性的场址：位于城镇的中心，离市政厅和教堂只有几米远，横穿过一条街道就可以到达二十世纪九十年代修建的音乐学院建筑。新的电子图书馆是一个地标性的建筑，它非常明显而且很容易被辨认出来，但是图书馆还是按照原始的城市结构设计建造的。处于对周边环境的考虑，图书馆的形式被限制了，以免遮蔽了临近建筑或环境。

电子图书馆的外墙是几个褶痕的形式，每一个平面都回应着一个特殊的环境和一个独特的限制。在图书馆娱乐性的一侧，它向园林般的林荫大道大面积的敞开，这样的透明度预期着一个重要的深度。图书馆的褶痕沿着布维尔路，墙壁是紧紧封闭的形式，所以墙壁上的两个开口创造了一些生气：一个开口和断口相似，位于图书馆的一楼，参观者可以通过这个开口进入图书馆。另一个开口非常大，位于二楼，这个开口的存在暗示着主要空间的位置。
The township chose a strategic location for the electronic library : in the city center, a few meters away from the city-hall and the church, across the street form the music conservatory built in the 1990s.A landmark building, the new media library is deliberately visible and identifiable, yet it blends politely with the existing urban fabric.Respectful of the setbacks, it refrains from overshadowing the neighborhood.

The facade of the media library presents several folds, each facet responding to a specific context and a particular constraint.On the Boulevard side, the building opens widely towards a landscaped mall, its transparence lets anticipate an important depth. As it folds along the rue Bouvier, the facade closes itself tightly letting only two openings create an animation: one on the ground floor, similar to a fracture, invites the visitor inside; the other, very large, on the second floor, suggests the presence of a major space.
