A review of heat pump water heating
A heat pump water heater (HPWH) operates on an electrically driven vapor-compression cycle and
pumps energy from the air in its surroundings to water in a storage tank, thus raising the temperature of
the water. HPWHs are a promising technology in both residential and commercial applications due to
both improved efficiency and air conditioning benefits.
A novel special distributed method
A novel dynamic mathematical model based on spatially distributed approach has been developed and validated in this paper.
This model gives good agreement in predicting the system COP and other parameters. The validated model has been used to
enhance the prediction of the micro variations of superheat and sub-cooling
Modeling, identification and contro
In this paper, feedback controller design for the air-conditioning system is addressed through systematic modeling and identification.
Particularly, the physical model of the system reveals the key parameter that dictates energy efficiency, and the identification
procedure produces a low-order, linear model suitable for controller design.
